The interior,down to the junction.

For substantial residential interiors with detailed drawings, integrated finishes and an appointed design team.

Explore the approach

The character of an interior is shaped by precise relationships: a ceiling meeting a wall, timber meeting stone, light falling across a surface. We work with your interior designer and architect to turn those relationships into coordinated construction.

Keep the design information connected.

Plans, elevations, finish schedules and product selections describe different parts of the same room. Construction needs to bring them together, with revisions and unresolved details visible to the team.

Your designer directs the appearance and selections. We coordinate questions arising from the site, trade proposals and fabrication information so decisions can be returned to the right person before the affected work proceeds.

  • Drawing, finish and selection coordination
  • Current revisions and outstanding questions
  • Clear design review and approval handoffs

Give the junctions room to be resolved.

The finish at one edge affects the next material. Floor build-ups, reveals, door thresholds and trim alignments deserve coordinated details before each trade installs its own part.

Field measurements, samples and agreed control details help establish how the design will be executed. Where a mock-up is useful, its purpose and approval criteria should be defined with the design team.

  • Material build-ups and finished dimensions
  • Reveals, thresholds and alignment
  • Samples and project-specific control details

Coordinate fabrication with the actual room.

Integrated millwork depends on the space around it. Appliances, lighting, outlets, stone and adjacent wall finishes can all affect what the fabricator needs to know.

We coordinate site measurements and the construction interfaces with the designer and fabricators. Shop drawings and production releases need a clear review sequence, followed by a plan for delivery, installation and protection.

  • Site dimensions and fabrication interfaces
  • Shop drawings and production decisions
  • Delivery access and installation readiness

Resolve services within the interior composition.

A carefully drawn ceiling can be interrupted by an uncoordinated grille, detector or access panel. Lighting, controls and building services need to be considered with the room elevations and finish layouts.

We bring these interfaces to the appointed designers and trades for resolution. The goal is an agreed construction arrangement that respects the design while preserving the operation and access the systems need.

  • Ceiling and wall-device coordination
  • Equipment, controls and accessible service points
  • Design questions before finishes close the work

Protect the finish through the final trade.

Interiors can remain a working environment even after delicate surfaces arrive. The order of installation, access for remaining trades and suitable temporary protection all require attention.

The completion review brings the agreed details, operation of installed items and care information together. Touch-ups and outstanding items stay recorded so the final steps are as deliberate as the initial construction.

  • Installation order and surface protection
  • Final-detail and operation review
  • Care guidance and outstanding-item records

The work.
In sequence.

Each stage brings a different set of questions into focus. The programme develops around your scope, the available information and the decisions still ahead.

Read the design

Review the interior drawings, schedules and retained conditions with the appointed designers.

Resolve the interfaces

Coordinate dimensions, samples, services and shop drawings before the work they affect is released.

Construct and install

Sequence trades and fabrication deliveries, with current instructions and protection for completed finishes.

Review the details

Check the agreed work, record remaining items and organize the operating and care information.

Before we begin

Your questions.
A clearer start.

Is this an interior design service?

It is a construction service delivered in partnership with your appointed design professionals. Your interior designer directs the design and material selections. Energize Builders coordinates the building work, trade interfaces and site information within the agreed scope.

Can you work with a designer who has already completed the plans?

Yes. We can review the issued drawing set and schedules, identify construction questions and discuss the route to pricing and procurement. Please include relevant elevations and details as well as the floor plans.

Do you offer cosmetic updates to a single room?

Our focus is substantial residential interiors within major home projects. We bring individual rooms into a coordinated scope with their connected finishes, systems and adjacent spaces.

What happens when a site dimension differs from the drawings?

We raise the discrepancy with the appropriate designer and affected trades. A confirmed resolution should reach the team before fabrication or installation relies on that dimension. The response is recorded with the current construction information.

Can we supply selected materials ourselves?

That can be discussed for the project. Ordering responsibilities, specifications, quantities, delivery, storage, suitability and warranty arrangements need to be clear. Owner-supplied items still have to fit the construction and procurement sequence.

Why discuss lighting and services so early?

Their locations and access requirements can affect ceilings, cabinetry and finished wall layouts. Coordinating them before fabrication and finish work helps the design team resolve those relationships while the relevant options are still available.

How do you maintain the designer’s intent during construction?

We coordinate current drawings, field questions, samples and trade information through an agreed review process. Proposed substitutions or changes go back to the authorized decision makers rather than becoming an informal site redesign.
